As a wedding photographers we would like to help you prepare for the big day, we have compiled what we’d consider the most common and most important questions we get asked. But if, for any reason, you did not find the information you were looking for, please do ask and we will answer.

Can we meet you before the wedding to discuss our requirements?

We have a pre-wedding consultation with all couples. We take a few snaps. It’s a lovely way for us to get to know you, and you to get to know us.  This can take place anywhere the Bride & Grooms wants, sometimes at the venue or sometimes in a park or a pub. We never charge extra for any pre-wedding meeting. It comes free with every single package offered by us.

What happens if it rains on my wedding day?

We’re very happy to continue shooting in the rain, if you’re happy to go out in it! Realistically it’s worth considering a plan ’B’ as to where to take the photographs if we can’t go outside, this will be discussed at your pre-wedding meeting meet up. In general electronic equipment as a cameras doesn’t like water in any form. However all of our equipment is weather sealed and technically speaking we can shoot in the rain!

Do you take any formal or group photographs?

We do, if you want us to. If you want something specific, please ask and we’re more than happy to accommodate each couple. The only thing you have to keep in mind is group shots (depending on the number of photographs you want) will take in the region of 30-60 mins so all you really need to do is allocate a suitable time of the day for this. Just before sunset is usually best!

Do you also do video?

We don’t, but we do work with AtMotion who we consider to be the best in our professional friends. They shoot like us, edit like us, and we can probably swing you a discount if you book us both for your big day!

How long will it be before we see our photographs?

Usually within  3 – 4 weeks of the wedding day but this can be a little longer in the busy summer period. Whatever happens, we’ll let you know what’s going on every step of the journey and you will always be the first people to see them.

Although you are based in London – do you travel?

Yes, we’ve done weddings from Tel Aviv, to Carmarthen and it’s a part of the job we love. If you have a wedding outside of the UK, we can provide a quote to suit your individual needs.

The two of us are not very “Picture Friendly”

In all the time we’ve been working as photographers, I don’t think either of us have met a couple that said “Guys, I look so amazing from all angles, even below.” This is where we can come in, there is a skill in putting people at ease, making themselves feel comfortable and even sometimes making them laugh. Also sometimes we even like to be invisible, which takes practice  but can be done.

Do you back everything up?

Everything we do is backed up. Our cameras are equipped with a double memory slots so we have a first back up “in camera”.  From the moment the memory card leaves the camera, the images are transferred onto two individual hard drives. That’s the entire raw selection (before they are narrowed down). The final selection of images is also backed up to 2 separate external hard drives which are then stored in two different locations (incase of fire/act of god/Steven Segal)

How many images do you shoot per wedding?

This obviously depends on the length of your wedding but as a ball-park figure in the region of about 2000. From those we’ll edit it down to the best 300 – 500 to be presented to you. And just so you know we never put any watermarks on your photos!

Are you insured?

For sure, we are insured! We have public liability insurance and also all of our equipment is insured, so there is nothing to worry about.
